About Robert Lindberg

My name is Robert Lindberg. I am a married father of six children. I am currently in formation for the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Austin. I am a convert to the Catholic faith, joining the church at Easter 1989. I am slowly reordering my life as the Spirit is leading me. I do not know what all God has planned for me but I trust that he is a Good, Good Father and that he loves me.

Are You At Peace?

Published July 4, 2016 • Written by Robert Lindberg Filed Under: Blog, Faith, Prayer

Are you at peace in the sight of Christ? Am I at peace in the sight of Christ? I remember one time; we had adoration as part of our parish mission. At one point the deacon walked all around the church with the Blessed Sacrament. As Jesus approached me I was filled with an incredible… [Read More]

A Good, Good Father

Published June 20, 2016 • Written by Robert Lindberg Filed Under: Blog

Father’s Day was yesterday. When we think about fathers where does one even start? I don’t really think you can start anywhere else but with the Father, God. He is the Creator, the original and eternal Father, the Good, Good Father. Seriously, there are a lot of great fathers out there but there is only… [Read More]

Our Call And Election

We are called to make our call and election firm, to take the gift of faith we have been given strengthen it against the attacks of the devil. As we have moved back into ordinary time, I have been amazed at how beautiful the daily readings are. They seem to reach out and touch my… [Read More]

What Are Your Intentions?

Published May 23, 2016 • Written by Robert Lindberg Filed Under: Blog

Being intentional doesn’t just happen! I remember some old movies where the father would ask the young man, “What are your intentions with my daughter?” I have had a lot of thought and discussion about this whole idea of being intentional. In my last post, I talked about goals and how it is important to… [Read More]

Goals, Plans and Motivation – Oh My!

Published May 9, 2016 • Written by Robert Lindberg Filed Under: Faith

What is your goal? During this time of Easter we read story after story about the life of the early church and more precisely about the lives of the apostles. What made them so effective? What motivated them? Thousands of people converted in a single day, people were cured and they faced persecution bravely. I… [Read More]

Like A Runaway Train

Published February 24, 2016 • Written by Robert Lindberg Filed Under: Blog, Prayer

So, my last couple of Lents have been, lack luster, so to say. I mean I went through the motions and all that but have just had the sense that I could do more / better. A couple of weeks before Lent this year, I started praying and planning how I was going to make… [Read More]

Street Evangelization in Austin

Published January 8, 2016 • Written by Robert Lindberg Filed Under: Social Justice

Recently, I attended training for street evangelization. At the end of the training class, we went out into downtown Austin to put this into practice. This experience reminds me of a middle school dance. It all started with spending the day learning to dance. We went through the mechanics and even tried out a few… [Read More]
