Taking Care of All God’s Children: The Sacred Heart Community Clinic

Published September 10, 2012 • Written by Elizabeth Filed Under: Blog, Faith

Talk to any volunteer, any nurse or any doctor and you’ll find out just how important the Sacred Heart Community Clinic is. Located on the Saint William Catholic Church campus, this free ‘walk in’ clinic serves the uninsured and underinsured living in Round Rock, Texas.

But, in order for the Sacred Heart Clinic to continue to provide quality care, volunteers are needed (especially doctors, physician assistants and nurse practitioners). If you know anyone who may be interested, email, post or tweet to them this post or give them the contact information listed below.

Below is an interview with Michelle Burr, a registered nurse and one of the two co-directors of clinical services of the Sacred Heart Community Clinic.

For more information about the Sacred Heart Community Clinic visit www.sacredheartclinic.org or email Liz Burton-Garcia, the executive director, at Liz@sacredheartclinic.org.

Yes! I’ve known her growing up, volunteering with VBS, etc. I actually got to help out at the clinic a couple of times just helping with paperwork and filing! You don’t need to be a medical person to help out!
