Austin CNM Retreat 2014

Join us for a day of reflection at a retreat hosted by Austin CNM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in North Austin located at 10205 N Fm 620, Austin, Texas 78726 on Saturday July, 19, 2014 10 am – 5 pm.

This day will be dedicated to prayer, discussion, and collaboration all with a strong focus on our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Whether you’re a content creator now, are interested in starting, or just want to learn how to better serve the mission of the Holy Spirit and Evangelization, this retreat has something for you. I will be leading most of the sessions along with some of the other board members, but a large part of the day allows plenty of time for the Holy Spirit to work through community.

The day will cover 6 main topics in the schedule.

Session 1 – Personal Discipleship and the Holy Spirit

What does it mean to live a life as a disciple, and what should our relationship be with the Holy Spirit?

Session 2 – The Spirit of Evangelization

What is evangelization? How can we do it?

Session 3 – Purpose Driven Content and Creation

God gave us the gift of creativity. How can we create so that it is for the service of the Gospel and not just ourselves?

Session 4 – Prayer and Inspiration

How can we find inspiration and intentionally create for the mission?

Session 5 – A Desire for Jesus and Heaven

Why do we do what we do? A reflection on the goals.

Session 6 – Serving as a Channel for the Holy Spirit

How can we be open to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to work through us?

Each short session will include time for discussion, and the day will end with a think tank about actionable ways to live out the inspiration we received throughout the day. There will also be several opportunities for individual and group prayer. There will be an optional mass at 5PM if you wish to attend.

The retreat is free, and lunch will be $7. Voluntary donations will also be accepted to give to the parish for letting us host the event.

RSVP at the Facebook event (not required, but helpful). The invitation is open, and I hope to see you there.
