Dream of a HomeAustin, TX – Folk-rock singer/songwriter Mike Mangione will be performing at St. Edward’s University Jones Auditorium on July 19th at 8 p.m. with Paul Finley opening. Mike will be performing songs of his latest album, “Red-Winged Blackbird Man,” to hit stores September 3rd, in addition to his established repertoire.

Tickets are $15 gen admission and $25 VIP front row and available for purchase at http://mangione.eventbrite.com/ or at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Schoenstatt Movement of Austin Marian Shrine Project.

Mike Mangione & The Union is a touring group that combines a folk-rock sound with an orchestrated string section, soulful vocals, and literate sensibility. The band’s debut album, Tenebrae, received favorable press from all corners of the country, including the honor of being an All Music Guide Album Pick. In 2011, they released Offering on their own imprint, RODZINKA Records, with sync and digital licensing by DUALTONE Records. The album and band were nominated for “Best of the Year” by RadioMilwaukee (88.9 FM), along with receiving other kind and warm accolades. Their upcoming album, Red-Winged Blackbird Man, is produced by Grammy-nominated producer Bo Ramsey.

Paul Finley is a guitar virtuoso who takes storytelling to a place beyond words. His sound harnesses the breadth of Jimmy Page, the passion of Rodrigo y Gabriela, and the intimacy of Leo Kottke. A true journeyman who explores the depths of human joy and pain through the universal language – music.
