For those who live in Austin (and even those who don’t) SXSW means one thing: celebrities, film screenings, music concerts and the latest nerdy gadgets. But this Saturday at an event downtown, SXSW means something much different.
David Morton, co-founder of Six17 Creative, created an event to bring Catholic musicians to the University Student Center (UCC) to play in a showcase during the popular weekend of SXSW. Instead of a South by Southwest event, it’s a South Cross Southwest event.
The event will take place this Saturday, March 16 at the UCC from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event will feature numerous Catholic musicians, giving them an opportunity to play for attendees.
If you’ve always wanted to make SXSW a part of your Austin experience, come out to the UCC and catch some great Catholic musicians from the Austin area at South Cross Southwest!
