Fr. Bill Wack, CSC, Pastor of St. Ignatius, Martyr parish off South Congress, has been named as the sixth bishop of Pensacola-Tallahassee. Yes, all the way in Florida.
Fr. Bishop-Elect Bill had been pastor since 2009 and had served on the Diocesan Catholic School Board, Vice President of the Presbyteral Council, and Dean of the Austin Central Deanery.
Though born in South Bend and a Domer through and through, I’m okay giving him Honorary Texan status.
May God bless him and his ministry in Florida and may God bless the new pastor of St. Ignatius and those in his past ministries.
