Need a Break? Top 3 Sites for Relaxation

Are you overwhelmed by work? Exhausted from life’s demands? Maybe you feel frenzied by your list of to-do’s, or super-anxious about an upcoming event. Maybe you’ve just watched/read the news and now you’re in a funk.

Sometimes (a lot of times) you need a break. I’d venture to guess that you need more breaks than you allow yourself. Well, if you’re reading this blog, I have good news for you:

Taking a break is easy. All you need is 2-5 minutes and internet access. I’ll assume if you’re reading this, you have both. So, no excuses!

Ready, set… RELAX!

Top 3 (FREE) Sites for Relaxation

  1. Do Nothing for 2 Minutes
    1. This site is great for those of you stuck at a computer all day. If you even think about browsing Pinterest and twitch your mouse, the countdown starts over.
  2. Calm.com
    1. I love this site because you get to choose which relaxing background and corresponding soundscape you drool over while a lady guides you through a 2, 5, 10, 15, or 20 minute meditation. The only problem with this site is you won’t want to leave.
  3. Loyola Press 3-Minute Retreat
    1. This one is a bit more interactive, in that you have to click your mouse a few times. It offers up a short reading, reflection and prayer with soothing music in the background. And it’s pretty. It changes everyday, so it’s easy to make it a part of your daily routine.

May God bless your week with relaxation and peace.
