7th Annual Men’s Fellowship Mass – July 18th

Published July 8, 2015 • Written by Cristóbal Almanza Herrera Filed Under: Events

St Joseph, Pray for us

St Joseph the Worker by By Timothy P. Schmalz

Masculinity is increasingly confused and misunderstood in society today. In a world that seeks to blur the lines of gender, we men seek to discover the wonderful gift and identity of our masculinity. God has blessed us with a unique and intentional role as men in world and Church.

The struggles of this life can try to wear us down, but we can’t forget that we’re not in this alone. We are here together as brothers and sons of the Father. The most powerful thing that we can do in our journey and battle is to cling to our faith. There is power in the name of Jesus, and we can offer our collective prayer through the sacrifice of the Holy Mass for our world, community, family, and ourselves.

This month is the seventh annual Diocesan Men’s Fellowship Mass happening July 18th at the seat of our bishop in downtown Austin.

Sharpen the edge of your faith by joining hundreds of Catholic men from across the Diocese of Austin at the Seventh Annual Diocesan Men’s Fellowship Mass. Be a part of this special Eucharistic Celebration with Auxiliary Bishop Daniel Garcia on Saturday morning, July 18th, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Cathedral; with a reception to follow in Bishops Hall.

Share the power of this Christ filled morning by extending a personal invitation to your Catholic brothers. Prayerfully encourage your sons, your fathers, your friends, your neighbors and your co-workers to join you for this extraordinary fellowship!

I encourage you to join with the other men of the local Church. If you’re not able to make it, you are able to join in the communion of Saint through the Eucharist at a mass that you are able to attend and/or go to confession to rebuild your part of the Church.
