- Fmr. Father Corapi has always used media as his main delivery mechanism for sharing the gospel and now, it seems, that he’s stepping into new media. Let’s discuss impact of this story and the challenges he faces. Do you think he will still be able to speak with authority, or has this hurt his credibility?
- This all reminds me of something that Pat Ryan talked about when we did our interview. “Not becoming bigger than the message”

- Fr. Tomasz Trafny Director, Vatican Department of Science and Faith“We strongly support adult stem cell research for two reasons. First, of course, because we have very clear ethical statement about the value of human life and each stage of it’s development. Second because adult stem cell research is safe not only from an ethical and moral point of view but from biological, medical point of view.”

Really good podcast, I too am at a loss with Fr. Corapi’s decision. It seems priests are always targeted with these situations because of the behavior of some priests in the Catholic Church of years past. It’s tough being a priest nowadays but giving up the priesthood is so sad. I think for him living outside of his community and not really administrating the sacraments as he was ordained puts a negative light on his situation. Blessed to have seen him in San Antonio last August but sad now with this news.
On the subject of cigarette labels this is something that needs to be done. People who smoke have no regard for anyone but themselves. Case in point we have an employee here that has COPD and another employee with chronic asthma. Unfortunately the smoker reaks of smoke and has everyone in the office coughing in her presence. I think just seeing a picture of what smoking does to the body should wake up some of these people. My step father died 2 years ago from lung cancer and never smoked a day in his life but was around second hand smoke everyday at work.
Great show everybody! You guys rock in Austin!
Thanks for the great feedback Vicolivares. We appreciate you listening to the show.
Sorry to hear about your step father. I can’t help but support efforts to ban smoking in public places. No one should have to have their lives put at risk for the selfishness of others.
i liked your point, Rita, about how kids are already exposed to such graphic things that something like the cigarette labels might not have an affect on them.
Sonriza83, thanks for your comment. I hope the labels do make a difference, but I am worried they won’t make as much a difference as many hope.
