Many Christmas blessings to you all, and a joyful New Year!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">My dear Adult, \u2018tis Christmas time,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">you know this well I\u2019m sure \u2013 and yet<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u2018tis what you know compels my rhyme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">I pray you these words to not forget.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">My dear Adult, please lend your ear,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">your eyes, your heart to me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">I beg a moment, with me turn<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">now to the Nativity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Look with me with eyes anew<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">at what you know so well<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">and tell me Who\u2019s at the center, tell \u2013<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">do you see what you knew you knew<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">or what is before you now?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">There to the center our gaze is drawn<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">We look with shepherds, sheep and angels upon<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">the face of One<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">the face of the Child, the Christ, the Son.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Between Mother, a virgin, and father, chaste spouse,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">a son as yet is He.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">God has come,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">His choice to be born<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">not in might \u2013<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">clothed in humanity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">My dear Adult, ask yourself \u2013<em>Why<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Forget the answer you knew.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Hear my plea to open your life<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">to the message of the Child, to you:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>\u201cMy dear Adult, you have done well,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>you\u2019ve grown up strong and tall.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>But if you desire to live like me<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>you must yet one more thing:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Dear Adult, I invite you to fall.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>I invite you to fall<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>not from grace but into it,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>by going down, not going up \u2013<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>by becoming again a Child as I \u2013<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>by growing down, not growing up.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>For though you think that you will reach Me<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>by climbing, climbing, climbing up unto,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>It is I, the Child who shows you the way<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>by inclining, inclining inclining down to you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>I descended to meet you where you are<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>and yet you yourself are not there \u2013<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>you present me with only pretense,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>your rationalizations, your fear.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>You forgot what true humility means,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>thus I came in the poverty of youth:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>you think to be humble is to degrade yourself<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>but I tell you: humility is truth.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>To preserve the self with consternation,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>to hide in shame for what does lack<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>is not the way of the Child.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>The Child fears not soul\u2019s revelation,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>and holds naught back,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>trusting fully all the while.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Thus the Child is free<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>interiorly<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>and totally<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>before the Father\u2019s love<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>which holds the Child<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>and\u00a0tenderly<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>binds the heart to Him above.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u2018<em>Tis only thus, my dear Adult<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>that you will have strength sufficient<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>For with the Father, you can do all<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>without, you are deficient.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>If you think<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>to stay your way<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>and live grown-up, on your own,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>My love urges me yet to say<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>there is something you must know.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>If you look deeply<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>at the wood that forms my infant Cradle,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>you will see with eyes anew<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>the Cross beneath the stable.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>My Cradle and my Cross are one:<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>As the first leads to the other<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>yet through the second you must go<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>to be born unto the other.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>But do not fear, dear Adult of mine,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>for where I call you I have gone<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>your suffering will not be in vain<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>and my love will carry you along.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>This is the greatest mystery<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>of life and death, together,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>of sacrifice and fruitfulness,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>the way of grace, forever.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>The Father wills it, the Child ascents,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>and the Spirit thus reveals<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Heaven\u2019s sweetest slow descent<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>unto the earth,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>until transformed<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>be all into His Children.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Thus the winter of our sin does melt,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>and the world is warmed<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>into the flowering of abundant life \u2013<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Tis this we celebrate<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>anew,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>each Christmas morn.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The Child had spoken,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">His words yet resound ringing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">And with this I&#8217;ll end,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">my last plea bringing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Tis a risk, you say.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Yes \u2013 the greatest risk of all<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">to leave your Adulthood behind<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">to bow, incline, to bend to Him and fall;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">To take the leap of death<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">that ends in being born<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">as He, a Child<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">did come to us<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">that very Christmas morn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The price so high,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">so great the task<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">that I cannot demand nor ask<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">but only invite<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">and extend my plea &#8212;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Oh won\u2019t you, oh will you,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">won\u2019t you come along with me?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">For I, dear Adult, am grown up like you<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">and need to grow down again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Let us go together, then,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">my dear Adult,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">my friend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Let us go together then<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">and before the Child bend,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">our knees, descend<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">to willingly become as He, like Him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Oh won\u2019t you come with me,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">won\u2019t you come, my dear friend?<a
