From music to YouTube, Facebook to text messages, blog reading to blog writing and more, media is an integral part of my ministry because it’s an integral part of the lives of the youth I work with. But I have found that it’s hard to find good, solid, relevant Catholic media to share and use in Youth Ministry. In addition to using media in my job, I use media quite a bit personally. And it’s hard to find excellent, reliable, faithful-to-the-Magisterium of the Catholic Church media for myself as an adult.

As a young adult of strong faith and a Youth Minister, I am seeking to share my faith with others in my life and in my ministry and to learn more about my Catholic Christian faith. I want to be able to tell the youth I work with that there are resources out there that they can watch or read to grow in their faith. Iwant to be able to let the youth know that media can be positive. And I want both the youth and myself to be Christ’s light the world. And in a world where media is an ever-present part of our lives, using media to bring Christ to others and bring ourselves closer to Christ just makes sense.

I consume and use both “secular” media as well as Catholic media, but it’s difficult at best to find quality Catholic New Media, which is why I’m excited for this endeavor.
