Veteran’s Day, November 11th, commemorates two very significant events. On November 11, 1918 the Treaty of Versailles went into full effect ending the World War I between the Allied nations and Germany. The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.<\/p>\n

A year later in 1919 then-President Woodrow Wilson designated the day as a day of remembrance for those who had died serving their country declaring that,<\/a>\u00a0 “to us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country\u2019s service and with gratitude for the victory…”<\/p>\n

On Monday, November 11, 2013, The Frontline Faith Project<\/a> is sponsoring the second annual \u201cAn American Moment\u201d to honor the men and women of our Armed Forces, past and present.<\/p>\n

“An American Moment” will include one moment of silent prayer \u2013 to thank our military for their service, to pray for the peaceful repose of those who have died, and to pray for the intentions of those still living. This event will take place at noon in each respective time zone, all across the world, on Veteran\u2019s Day 2013.
