As I sat down to write this week, I was filled with heaviness. \u00a0The past several weeks have been filled with loss and sadness for friends and, I\u2019ll admit, I find myself rather empty of much to offer the ACNM community.<\/p>\n

Stumbling for inspiration, I happened upon the realization that today (Sept. 5) is the feast day of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. \u00a0I have nothing profound to say about this amazing servant of Christ, I only implore her prayers today, not only for us but for those on the margins of our society.<\/p>\n

To one who saw Christ in all, who loved the \u201cleast of these\u201d and sated the thirst of countless bodies,
\nBlessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.<\/p>\n

To one who heard in the words of Christ, \u201cI thirst,\u201d a deeper call to love,
\nBlessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.<\/p>\n

To one who was well acquainted with death and did not fear it for herself,
\nBlessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.<\/p>\n

To one who knew darkness and learned to love it,
\nBlessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.<\/p>\n

For boldness in the face of evil,
\nBlessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.<\/p>\n

For love in the face of hatred,
\nBlessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.<\/p>\n

For eyes to see the broken and hearts gracious enough to share in their suffering,
\nBlessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us.<\/p>\n
