St. Gianna Molla is\u00a0one of the Catholic Church\u2019s newest saints \u2013 and is the patron saint of physicians and healthcare\u00a0workers.\u00a0Numerous physicians and healthcare professionals attended the program.<\/p>\n<p>McKenna gave an overview of the saint\u2019s life and shared details from personal\u00a0conversations with St. Gianna\u2019s family. Bishop Joe V\u00e1squez blessed the relic and picture.\u00a0Healthcare professionals were able to view various relics, including the fetuscope St. Gianna\u00a0used to hear the heartbeat of her patients\u2019 unborn children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">St. Gianna Beretta Molla was an Italian physician who was canonized a saint by Pope\u00a0John Paul II in 2004 \u2013 just 42 years after her death. During her life, St. Gianna established a\u00a0reputation for her dedication to her faith, family and patients. She died in 1962 at the age of 39\u00a0after sacrificing her life for her unborn daughter. Present at her canonization were her husband\u00a0and three of her children.
