St Vincent de Paul Parish<\/p><\/div>\n

We are blessed to live in a thriving diocese. Earlier this year, St John Neumann dedicated<\/a> their new church building in the West Austin area. Now, our diocese gets to celebrate its second dedication in one year. On Saturday December 29, 2012, Bishop Joe V\u00e1squez will celebrate the dedication mass of the new church building for St Vincent de Paul parish.<\/p>\n

New church layout<\/p><\/div>\n

This is the first church building dedicated for the parish. The parish started by meeting in neighborhood schools in 1995, and then moved over to the multi-purpose building that they have been using as a temporary worship space. This goal has been achieved through the hard work and dedication of a faithful parish community and under the leadership of their pastor, Fr Danny Garcia.<\/p>\n

This weekend, we rejoice with our friends at St Vincent de Paul<\/a> Catholic Church in North Austin.<\/p>\n

They also included some supplemental education through social media. St Vincent de Paul’s pastoral year seminarian, Tom Reitmeyer, recorded some videos<\/a> to explain the details of the dedication mass. They give a detailed explanation of what will be happening at the mass, and they are found on the parish website and on the their Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dedication Mass Message from the Parish<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Mass of Dedication for our new church is December 29th at 10:30 a.m. Please plan on arriving early<\/strong> as we anticipate over 1,000 attendees and want everyone to experience the entire dedication rite. Police will be present to assist in directing traffic and parking for our event. We have arranged additional parking space at both Holy Family and St. Dominic Savio schools. Please be respectful to our Davis Spring neighbors and avoid parking on the side streets of Solera Drive and Altona Way.
