there is no love in my heart at all!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">know that all you ever had came from God.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Don&#8217;t be afraid anymore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Say to yourself in the cave of your heart,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">&#8220;this is the time for my soul.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">God is closer than ever before.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Your restoration is in the depths of his will<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">and in time to come,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">the love in your heart will be renewed<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">and be all his.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">You have nothing to give, so wait to receive<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">in his time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Be patient in suffering.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Persevere in prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Trust in not knowing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">even who you are anymore,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">except that you are his.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Be little, be weak, sit quietly <em>in the shadow of death<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">and say to your empty heart, &#8220;this is the time for my soul.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Allow this darkness of unknowing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>&#8220;Let it be done to me according to thy word,&#8221;<\/em> she said,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">even at the cross,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">and on that desolate Holy Saturday<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">when she sat in darkness deeper than any she had ever known could be.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">She suffered unspeakably.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Still she trusted, remaining present in the very bleakness of her heart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">So you, her child, alone in your desert,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">you desolate of heart,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">when you say to yourself,<em> &#8220;my one companion is darkness, &#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">say, &#8220;This is the time for my soul.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">A time of grace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Your light will come<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">As God defines it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>And that joy no one shall take from you.<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_221467\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-221467\" class=\"wp-image-221467 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0395-2-1-550x433.jpg?resize=550%2C433\" alt=\"desert\" width=\"550\" height=\"433\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-221467\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">painting by Mark Hudgins<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When your heart says to God, &#8220;you have cut off my life like a weaver severs the last thread, &#8220;
