Austin Catholic New Media is well into its first year as a group, and it has been an incredible start so far. When Jason, Chris, and I first started making a plan, there were a lot of unknowns about what would come out of this group. I think there are still many unknowns as to what God will lead us to, but our mission has become more defined and our enthusiasm continues to grow.<\/p>\n
Our first two meet-ups have gone well, and we’re excited to start planning the 3rd quarter meet-up for the summer. Our new lunch meeting was also a great way to encourage a connection that goes beyond our screens. It has been a real pleasure to meet so many great people of the Church in Central Texas. We look forward to a great future of working together even more.<\/p>\n
Now, we’re ready to take on more expansion. The work is heavy, but the laborers are great. As the ACNM network continues to grow, I can’t help but share how great the company is growing to be. With more content and people, we need better organization. The organization of our group is taking a new form, and ACNM will greatly benefit from it.<\/p>\n
As the main designer for this site, I am very aware of the many flaws the first version of the website has both structurally and esthetically.\u00a0 Now that our mission has gained more steam and a more specific direction, the first version no longer fits our needs. We’re excited to announce that you will soon see AustinCNM.com v2.0 go live.<\/p>\n
The site redesign is way more than a new coat of paint. It give us the room we need for growth and a much better user experience. Content will be our focus. Mass recordings, homilies, readings, blogs, videos, podcasts will all be easier to navigate.<\/p>\n
Our expansion goes beyond our site design as well. We are excited to see what is ahead as make new partnerships with many different ministries and organizations of our diocese. One of the most important parts of our mission, is to strengthen what those groups are already doing by giving them the force of new media to support them.<\/p>\n
