Do you ever fear that doubt or anxiety about future events somehow means you doubt God?<\/p>\n
I have a friend who deals with this often and I find myself talking her through it every once in a while. All it takes on my part really is just reiterating things she already knows. Like to be patient and trust in God\u2019s timing, to trust in her own knowledge and experience, and to trust in her personal relationship with God and where she feels He\u2019s leading her. She knows all this, but sometimes she just needs someone to say it aloud.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know where the doubts come from. It\u2019s certainly not from lack of confidence. Mostly, I think it\u2019s just the way her fear of failure manifests, the same fear everyone experiences.<\/p>\n
One thing I have come to realize in our talks is that these moments of anxiety are a blessing in disguise. They are the means for growth. Every time we overcome these moments of despair we grow in whatever it was we were lacking be it trust, courage, or self-confidence (just to name a few).<\/p>\n
Rather than fearing that our actions are disrespectful to God, I suggest we thank Him for the opportunity. The only way we grow stronger is to push ourselves beyond our current boundaries.\u00a0In the end, it\u2019s all in God\u2019s hands. All we can do is pray.<\/p>\n
