{"id":1703316,"date":"2019-04-23T08:30:54","date_gmt":"2019-04-23T13:30:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atxcatholic.com\/?p=1703316"},"modified":"2019-04-23T01:38:44","modified_gmt":"2019-04-23T06:38:44","slug":"angels-dragons-xx-war-in-heaven-rev-127","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atxcatholic.com\/index.php\/2019\/04\/angels-dragons-xx-war-in-heaven-rev-127\/","title":{"rendered":"Angels &#038; Dragons XX: \u201cWar in Heaven\u201d (Rev. 12:7)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"304\" width=\"550\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image13-550x304.jpg?resize=550%2C304\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703410\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Book of Revelation describes\nthe <em>\u201cWar in Heaven\u201d<\/em> (Rev. 12:7) between\nSt. Michael and his angels against the Red Dragon and his angels, when a vision\nof a woman about to give birth is shown to them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What was the first battle\nlike?&nbsp; Why did it happen?&nbsp; What was the trial of the angels?&nbsp; Are there any revelations via the saints,\nmystics, or from exorcisms where the devil is forced to confess what happened?&nbsp; St. Faustina reminds us that St. Michael was\nthe first Christian to do God\u2019s will when he believed in the incarnation, fights\nfor God, and thus passes the test, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cI have great reverence for Saint Michael the Archangel; he had no example to follow in doing the will of God, and yet he fulfilled God\u2019s will faithfully <\/em>[667]<em>.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The mystic Venerable Mary of\nAgreda, who bilocated more than 500 times to America, writes in the <em>Mystical City of God<\/em> about this great battle\nthat occurs in the heavens; however, not the real heaven where God abides, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cIt was a wonderful battle\u2026Saint Michael, burning with zeal for the honor of God and armed with divine power and with his own humility, resisted the arrogant pride of the dragon\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image15.png?fit=550%2C324\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703411\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Every creature has be tested\nbefore entering the beatific vision where God dwells, and the angels were no\ndifferent.&nbsp; Patricia Devlin (blind\nmystic) captures the words of St. Michael concerning the great tribulation that\nall the angels faced before the battle,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cBut the temptation to follow Lucifer that we all faced was so great.\u00a0 He could and did make it seem so logical that God\u2019s way was crazy, that His plan for creation made no sense.\u00a0 \u2018How,\u2019 he asked us, \u2018could we think for a moment that suffering and sorrow could bring any good?\u2019 &#8230;<strong>Lucifer showed us a vision of Christ crucified<\/strong> and jeered, \u2018See! This is the King you would follow, a King who has no followers, who does not raise a finger to protect Himself against those who will torture Him to death.\u00a0 What kind of God is this?\u2019\u2026He asked us, \u2018If you open yourself to love, what will happen to you but that you will be hurt?\u00a0 Look at this:\u00a0 The God of the Universe will come to earth to dwell among the lowest of the creatures who could knowingly praise Him, and what will they do but kill Him?\u00a0 And He knows beforehand that they will do this!\u2019 \u2026He asked us how we could trust a God who could ask us to do such a thing.\u00a0 Was that God concerned for us at all, that He would ask it?\u2019\u201d <\/em><\/p><cite> <br>[Light of Love] <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"367\" width=\"550\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image6-550x367.png?resize=550%2C367\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703413\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Place doubt in a creature and the\nhouse begins to crumble. Moreover, exorcists have long been able to force\nconfessions from the devil during exorcisms and in an exorcism that took place from\n1975 to 1978 the following statement is captured as the fallen angels begin to\nsuccumb to Lucifer\u2019s temptation, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cEach day we became more gloomy. I must explain that in Eternity, one does not count in days, but speaking figuratively and according to your measurements, each day we became more gloomy, less majestic, so much so that Michael (the Archangel) who previously was still a little, unimportant angel\u2026 Ah! Michael, Michael! (At this name) we become frantic &#8211; that Michael, who was for us a little unimportant angel, can now exercise such domination and almost crush us. Almost everything that we lost has fallen to Michael&#8217;s lot.\u201d<\/em> <\/p><cite><br>[Avertissements de l&#8217;Au&#8217;del\u00e0 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9glise Contemporaine \u2013 Aveux de l\u2019Enfer] <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"700\" width=\"535\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image26-535x700.jpg?resize=535%2C700\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703414\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The new Vatican\u2019s Exorcist Fr.\nFrancesco Bamonte has collected a series of forced confessions from Lucifer [meaning\nlight bearer] who was the wisest, brightest, and mightiest of all the angels\nconcerning their deeper rebellion over the vision in the Book of Revelation in\nchapter 12,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cI am Lucifer, the most luminous of all the angels of heaven.\u00a0 <strong>I rebelled against the will of God <\/strong>because I did not want to be under the majesty of the Nazarene.\u00a0 I was quite well being under the power of God. But under the power of the Nazarene, who would be born of a woman, I did not want to be.\u00a0 And so I said, \u2018Either make me like you or I will battle against you, because I will never lower myself, never to a God who becomes human flesh and who assumes human traits and a human body\u2026I am pure spirit. Why not I, why not I, a pure spirit?\u00a0 I am pure spirit.\u00a0 Why not I instead of That Nature?\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Huh, huh, huh?\u00a0 Why that Nature?\u2019\u00a0 \u2018That is only a creature.\u00a0 Not I.\u00a0 I am \u2018god,\u2019 and she was put over me.\u00a0 Why should she have been?\u00a0 And I did not want to, did not want to.\u00a0 I would never bow to a creature, one created to be below me<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p><cite> <br>[The Virgin Mary and the Devil in Exorcism] <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image14.jpg?fit=538%2C700\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703415\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lucifer before the fall was God\u2019s\ngreatest creation and in some senses like \u2018the good son\u2019 in the parable of the\nprodigal son.&nbsp; In his own words, Lucifer\nwas \u2018the Angel Par Excellence\u2019 and a twelve winged seraph. With Lucifer\u2019s\nbeauty and intellect, he takes a third of the angels, \u201cHis tail swept a third\nof the stars from the sky (Rev. 12:3),\u201d St. Michael rallies the rest of the\nangels with this battle cry that is heard in all the heavens as Venerable Mary\nof Agreda records, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cCome then, ye angels, follow me, let us adore Him, and extol his admirable and secret judgments, his most perfect and holy works. <strong>God is most exalted and above all creatures, and He would not be the Most High, if we could attain or comprehend his great works.<\/strong> Infinite He is in wisdom and goodness, rich in the treasures of his benefits. <strong>As Lord of all and needing none, He can distribute them to whomsoever He wishes, and He cannot err in the selection.<\/strong> He can love and confer his favor to whomsoever He chooses, and He can love whom He likes; <strong>He can raise up, create and enrich according as it is his good pleasure. In all things He will be wise, holy and irresistible. Let us adore and thank Him for the wonderful work of the Incarnation<\/strong> which He has decreed, and for his favors to his people and for its restoration to grace after its fall. Let us adore this Person endowed with the human and the divine nature, let us reverence It and accept It as our Head; let us confess, that He is worthy of all glory, praise and magnificence, and, as the Author of grace, let us give Him glory and acknowledge his power and Divinity.\u201d <\/em><\/p><cite> <br>[Mystical City of God] <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"521\" width=\"550\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image1-550x521.jpg?resize=550%2C521\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703412\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The vision of the Woman in the\nBook of Revelation becomes the victory banner and standard for St. Michael and\nthe holy angles.&nbsp; Already, in humility\nthey submit their will and intellect, and they accept her as their future Queen\n\u2013 \u201cQueen over all things (CCC 966).\u201d The vision becomes a sign of their new\nsource of strength, hope, and grace as Venerable Mary of Agreda describes, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>The great sign of the Woman served the good angels as a shield and as arms of battle against the evil ones; for at the sight of it, all their power of reasoning weakened and was brought to confusion and silence, since they could not endure the mysteries and sacraments contained in this sign.\u201d<\/em> [Mystical City of God]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image24.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703416\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A great battle with flaming\nswords ensued between all of God\u2019s angels.&nbsp;\nGood versus evil, humility versus pride, envy versus love, David versus\nGolaith, \u201cMichael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and\nhis angels fought back. But the dragon was not strong enough, and no longer was\nany place found in heaven for him and his angels.&nbsp; And the great dragon was hurled down (Rev.\n12:7-9).\u201d&nbsp; The new Vatican\u2019s Exorcist Fr.\nFrancesco Bamonte details Lucifer\u2019s confession of their loss in this great\nbattle, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"190\" width=\"304\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image8-304x190.jpg?resize=304%2C190\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703419\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cMichael and the others with him hurled me \u2018down.\u2019 They were many and they had the power of the Almighty with them.\u00a0 Michael and all the others told me, \u2018From this moment you are nothing.\u2019\u00a0 I fought but Michael sent me away.\u00a0 <strong>With his sword he made me fall <\/strong>and told me, \u2018Depart from me! This is no longer your place. Go into the abyss, go into the darkness!\u2019\u00a0 And I had to go away together with the others.\u00a0 While we were falling, I said that we would fight them and take souls from God\u2026 (To God I said) the power of sin will be our altar on which we will sacrifice the souls of your accursed children.\u00a0 On that altar we will make the blood of your accursed children run.\u2019\u201d<\/em> <\/p><cite> <br>[The Rebellious Angels] <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary of Agreda explains that Lucifer\nblasphemed and screamed throughout the heavens, \u2018Adore me, I am god!\u2019 But, there\nwas also the great and powerful battle cry of St. Michael \u201cWho is like God?\u201d answering\nsuch a blasphemy.&nbsp; Lucifer\u2019s cry turns\nhim and his followers into dragons and creatures without light. Beauty, wisdom\nand the great faculties with which they were created in their original state\nare gone or darkened, &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cBut St. Michael answered: Who is there like unto the Lord, who dwells in the heavens, or who to compare himself to Him? Be silent, enemy, cease thy dreadful blasphemies, and since iniquity has taken possession of thee, depart from our midst, wretch\u2026The holy prince Michael hurled from heaven the dragon Lucifer with the invincible battle-cry: <strong>Who is like unto God?&#8230;<\/strong>So powerful was this cry that it sufficed to precipitate that proud giant and all his host to the earth and cast him in dreadful ignominy to the center of the earth. <strong>From that time he began to be called dragon, serpent, devil and Satan<\/strong>, imposed upon him by the holy archangel in that battle as a testimony of his iniquity and malice.\u201d\u00a0 <\/em><\/p><cite> <br>[Mystical City of God] <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The battle is no different\ntoday!&nbsp; Lucifer, now called Satan [meaning\nadversary] after the fall, is still trying to wage war between God\u2019s children\nas he did at the very beginning of time.&nbsp;\nHis temptation is the same, \u2018You are gods!\u2019&nbsp; \u2018You can save yourselves!\u2019 \u2018You are number\none.\u2019 He further says to us also \u2018if you love you will be hurt.\u2019&nbsp; \u2018You cannot trust a God who cares for the\nweak, lost, and those who are different.\u2019&nbsp;\n\u2018You have to look out for yourself,\u2019 or as Fr. Francesco Bamonte records\nLucifer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"190\" width=\"126\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/atxcatholic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/image27-126x190.jpg?resize=126%2C190\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1703417\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cI am the exterminator angel, and I want to exterminate all.\u00a0 I want to \u2018murder\u2019 everyone.\u00a0 But that one [Michael] always comes, he always opposes me.\u00a0 He is always with me.\u00a0 <strong>He comes with his sword and \u201ccuts me up,\u201d<\/strong> and I cannot do that which I would like to do.\u00a0 I want to bring war to humankind, and <strong>he [Michael] is looking to make peace<\/strong> in order to stop the wars among you.\u00a0 He fights me in this way, looking to destroy all that I try to do.\u00a0 I seek to do all that I can and he comes and always does the opposite of what I want to do.\u00a0 <strong>When you pray to him [Michael], he bothers me because he THWARTS my plans and destroys them. <\/strong> <\/em><\/p><cite> <br>[The Rebellious Angels] <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>So let us pray the St. Michael\nPrayer daily but especially after all our masses that he may <strong>THWART<\/strong> Satan\u2019s plans to destroy\nhumanity, for \u201che knows that his time is short (Rev.12:12)\u2026&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong><em>\u201cAfter God, I am your protector and your support. Have recourse to me.
