The other day I was scammed by an individual posing as a Sprint employee. I had to change my credit card and accounts; not fun. Luckily there was no significant damage and life goes on; it happens. The greater damage was to my pride, a little dose of humility to put me in my place.
Yes, there are pressing needs; there will always be pressing needs. There will always be some global conflict, some financial insecurity, some urgent need that demands our attention. There will never be a “good time” to address what is essential; to define who we are and what is most important. It is so much easier for us to run around putting out immediate fire than it is to for us to deal with what is fundamental.
